watched nelson heaps on you tube.
im up to chapter 3 and am finding that the course doesn’t always progress to the next stage and i am unable to click complete. i have do do that chapter again and then it automatically progresses. Am i doingh something wrong
-
What browser are you using? I just noticed that none of the lessons I watched yesterday were marked complete and none ever progressed automatically to the next lesson. That was on my laptop using Safari. I just tried with Chrome and the lessons are marked complete and progress to the next.

Thanks Keith I was using safari. about 1/2 the times it would progress. cheers

do you have a club setup on chess.com where we can join and play others in the group?

Hello all. Nelson is a wonderful teacher and communicator. Loved his series on Logical chess, looking forward to seeing how much I can improve with this course. If I can hit 1500, I will be so happy.

Started the course at mid 800s few month ago, with the first enrollment. Only got through the first 3 modules as I rewatched them several times to really grasp the concepts. I am proud to say I am few points away from 1100, currently on a 10 game winning streak against 10 opponents over 1000. One thing, I wish there was a way to download the…

Hi all, really excited to be here! 🙂 Question please! I haven’t really been playing against players much due to either the fact that each game takes ages or on the flip side I dont have enough time to think 🙂
I’ve been playing against bots where there is no time limit and I can play moves in between meetings etc; I just finished with the…
-
Not wasting time, but real players will throw you curves that the bots will not.
Try the 15/10 rapid games when you have a half-hour to spare.

Start in on the lessons ASAP.

Thank you I should probably, I started the lessons and got to the stonewall one which I’ve been practicing vs bots ever since..
-
You can play daily games where you have 1-3 days to make a move. I love it cause I can continuously play other players even if I’m busy.

Is there a way to use Chess.com or another site to play out games from books and possibly use analysis engines? Where can I find out about this?
-
You can go to chess.com/analysis and then enter the moves manually as you go through the game and turn on the engine if you like.
-
Thank you both. I was specifically looking for the games from that book and had started to compile my own library on them. The one you refer to, Jaroslav, is at https://www.chess.com/library/collections/logical-chess-move-by-move-2UbjxMSoQ.

How long will we have access to the lessons?
Can we still participate in future group counseling sessions?
-
Lifetime access, Charles. Yes, you can join future group coaching calls.

Queerion: how many games per week should one play to improve, using the knowledge learned in this course? 15+10 is normally my gsme. With that in mind, is one game per day (5-7 per week) sufficient?
-
Yes 1 game per day is great in my opinion. If you can also build in some time to check the mistakes from the game and make sure you understand what went wrong, that’s where most of the benefit will come from.

Thanks – absolutely love the course. Yes, I analyze every game on the Game Review tab, even games I copy and paste from FIDE or Lichess, so I definitely try to correct my mistakes. But I appreciate the response!
