Hi. It seems that Most of the games that are shown are 25-100 years old. Why do we not have any example games from the last 5 years from the strongest players? Are the principles no longer followed? Are they too complex now? What of games from club players, do they follow the Steinitz principles?

I suspect that is because the historical games have been thoroughly analyzed and work to teach the principles being discussed.
