Nelson, where are you? I haven’t seen you live on the “ChessVibes” YouTube channel in nearly two weeks. Are you okay? I’m praying that you are. Peter

Yeah. I noticed the same thing. Hopefully he is just taking a break. He seemed to be getting frustrated on his last few live streams (cheating, stream sniping etc…). It could have been a scheduled break, but I don’t recall him mentioning it.

Well, Nate, evidently we got him going. I guess you saw his “Elephant in the room” video yesterday?

Hey Nelson, while examining analysis lines for the stonewall, I often see C4 pointed out as the best move over C3. What are your thoughts on this? Is there a place for C4 in certain circumstances?

The example Alekhine game at the end of module 7 made my brain hurt. It wasn’t the lesson itself as much as Alekhine ALREADY had his queen and rook lined up knowing what would probably happen before it did. I’m pausing after each move trying to figure out why and blam there goes my brain. What an artist. At least I like cats.

Since we have many players in North America, I’ve split the…

Looks good. I should be free on Feb 16 unless my wife drags me to church. *lol* — I also don’t know how the Chess.com tournament software works. Is it possible to assign people to a tournament game and then give them a timeframe to complete it? That might make it possible to do longer time controls. I.e. We do a 30 minute tournament, but…

How do we sign up?

Lol Nate. I see what you’re saying and I think it makes sense as it would allow for much more flexibility. I think the only thing we should do is keep the time controls consistent so it’s an equal playing ground. So, we can start with 10 in the first iteration, then move to 15 / 10 increment in the next one. After that, if all goes well, I’ll…

Hello everyone, I just enrolled in braking 1500 today and have been a fan of chess vibes youtube channel for a couple months now. My starting elo as of today is 657 and im extreamly happy to start this journey to 1500. Nelson’s teaching methods and explanations of his thinking process really resonate with me.
