So lol after watching the ( Blunder section of this course. My ELO went from almost 700 down to about 300. I have been analyzing why? I have come to a few conclusions. I am slowly Inching back up to 500. I am learning that ( Calculating everything ) Is the only way. Before every single move. I go through the Blunder Check List. I look at what Is attacking ME. I am learning to cut people off at the path, before they enact their evil plan on me lol . To NOT cover all the bases before moving Is just reckless. I have run out of time a few times BUT usually don’t lose . I am on a steady climb. Does anyone experience ( mental fatigue after too many games ) Just curios…. Signing off from California…..

are these 5 minute games. I normally play 10 minute games and am over 900 elo but in 5 minute games are just over 500.

@mark-lynch6me-com 10 minute games………. I still miss a lot of tactics. Check mates I don’t see. I think my game is more solid. I think when I was almost 700 ELO myself and my opponent were making mistakes and missing them…. I know I need to Improve parts of my game…. I am just dragging my feet…. TY for the response

10 minutes is too short for good learning, IMO.. I do blitz once I think I have so openings down and want to explore many responses to it more rapidly. Otherwise 15 min is probably better if you’re still blundering.

Nelson suggested 10 minutes or longer back when he did his live feed.
