I have grown a lot since starting this course. On Chess.com I am doing well against bots and puzzles but in live games, I seem to be stuck with people playing well above my level although I am not even at 30% of the level I play against bots. Are many good players playing low or am I missing something?

You can adjust the setting in chess.com so that you will be assigned people of ANY level below you and LIMIT it to people no more than 25 points above you. thats what ive done and it gives a good mix of people you are better than , equal to and only slightly better than you. So adjust the settings

@steelpulsefangmail-com Thanks, I will do that. Most of those that play almost perfectly are at my level though. I play bots at 1200 but cannot get past 400 in live sessions.

The bots are far weaker than their rating.. I’m 1100ish and beat 1600 bots no problem. 1800+ is where they’re more challenging for me (losing more than winning).

@1sttim1-18 Yeah, I have beaten most of the 1200 level bots but am ranked at about 400…
