My game playing stonewall. I hope you guys can see it? I do really well with stonewall UNLESS the e pawn is pusehed. The black checks me totally messing up my pawn structure:(. Does anykne have any advice on how to handle this without basically being screwed the reat of the game? It doesnt happen often but the two times it happened i lost both times. Any advice welcome. Also, is this where i sibmit games for nelson to analyze? Thanks for any advice.chess.com

So cool you are analyzing!
I think Nelson’s lesson starts out d4 e3 Bd3 f4. Nf3 can block check. I was reminded going through a lesson only helps after you master it through hundreds of accurate games (above 85% is a good goal). Most of my games as a beginner are well below that. I posted a couple screen shots earlier today of stonewall against strong engines.

Yes that’s how he teaches it! But I’ve been messed up with poopheads bringing the queen out before I can get that knight on f3! They know I am going for stonewall and will mess up my “wall” and check me and go back before I can get my bishop up. You think it would be better to push my f pawn out first so I can get my bishop out? Or at that point just try to long castle? Thanks

@anserr2gmail-com sorry forgot to answer your question. Im not a real good player but the chess website helps when i review games afterward and use the progress bar on the left to see how my moves are doing. Any sudden drop and I look for a different move. 😃
