Thought I was doing OK until I watched the discovered attack module. Honestly I was only able to see 1 easy solution and the Smothered mate . All the rest were either way beyond me or I only got the first part of the multiple move ones. Not sure what to think about my short comings on this.

Hang in there!
Try playing custom puzzles on Chess.com aimed at particular tactics. I would recommend not going past the Blunder Check module until you feel comfortable with each of the tactics. In my opinion the basic principles and tactics are more important than memorizing lots of openings.
(P.S. My rapid rating on Chess.com is currenty < 600 but my puzzle rating is >1600. So feel free to disregard my recommendations.)

@chas-kenyongmail-com thanks for the input. Where do i find the blunder check module ? Also, my puzzle rating is wildly inconsistent. Ive been as high as 1946 elo but i fluctuate between that and 1500. Crazy now im bouncing around 1700.
