In Lesson 4.11 Zwischenzug master tactic 12:01, Why would black move Be4 to attack Whites Queen to start when Whites Queen was hanging in the first place. Shouldn’t Black have just played Qxc2 and take whites Queen?
Charles and Anthony R4 Comments-
If black took white’s queen to start then white would recapture with their bishop and Be4 would no longer be possible. Black wanted to take white’s bishop first to lure the night away and open up the rook for a big trade of pieces.

Not sure you are looking at the same thing I am. When Qxe2, Black takes an undefended queen. There is no bishop to recapture, it can only take Bxf6 the black dark bishop Not taking the Queen and moving the bishop to Be4 makes Black go from -8.1 to +3.1 when white takes Qxe7. Be4 is a miss and shouldn’t be on a “master” move video. Its more like a blunder I would make. Lol.

I showed it very briefly in the video but white’s bishop was on e4 at the start. Bxe4 was indeed capturing a bishop, not just moving to an empty square. So the “free queen” you’re talking about wasn’t free.

@ChessVibes ok, I didn’t see that. I am setting up the pieces to analyze on the chess.com to work out different scenarios to better understand all the moves in each video.
Thanks for responding.
