        My “sort-of” Owen’s Defence versus White’s “Kings Fianchetto” opening…..first time I had seen this opening since adopting Owens as my preferred Black opening….had to tweek a few things, but seemed to be pretty effective! I think surprise value won out….I almost threw it away in the midgame….but Nelson’s lesson on Kings + Pawns (Opposition!!) saved me in the endgame….thanks Nelson!
