Victory with Owens!!
Having been well and truly whooped in a couple of games playing the Owen’s, my game review and a rewatch of the course video showed I was misplacing my knight on e7 instead of placing it on f6 attacking the centre white squares, as beautifully explained in the course! I’m also, for some reason, unwilling to play d5 which according to the game review is usually showing a better move but generally opt for d6, not fancying the d5 during the game! Anyway, I managed to win an exchange and eventually the endgame but my opponent was stubborn and I’m glad I’d done some of the 100 endgames you should know and the first part of Silmans Complete endgame book which game me confidence to sack my extra knight for his last pawn knowing he couldn’t defend the position. 118586265265
