Hi Nelson, In reference to the lesson 8.9: thinking about the endgame in the middlegame. You showed a game played by Rubinstein against an opponent. The combination he played when he sacrificed his queen and then brought on that barrage of combinations was out of this world. I could study for a million years and never come up with a combination like that. When i saw that i was stunned. Sheesh !!! I’m just happy you showed me a method to just stop blundering pieces. If I have to come up with blistering combinations like Rubinstein to break 1500 then I’m toast. What I saw in that combination was Wizardry. He was a wizard. I’m just happy to go through a game and not blunder a piece. Win or Lose. Even if i lose and not blunder a piece or pieces, at my stage I consider that in itself a victory.
