Hello Nelson, I’m done with all the modules, and tested my skills. I previously used to blunder pieces away by not having enough defenders (stage 1), and then by not checking whether a discovered attack from opponent wins an undefended piece (stage 2). Now, what happens is I make a blunder (or a mistake) by not checking if the opponent will have a tactic that wins a piece. In other words, my opponent comes up with a clever tactic and wins a piece, and I don’t last past the middle game. Is this because my opponent is too strong?

If it truly is an amazing tactic then maybe you’re opponent is too strong, but I’m guessing that’s pretty rare. Hope that helps!

I later created a new account in chess.com and it gave me an initial rating of 1200. I played two games and won them both! On the second game, I blundered a piece, if the opponent played the right sequence of trades he would have gotten a free bishop, but he missed as well and I escaped with a win.

If you are fairly new to it then either 400 or 800 rating would likely be the best place to start. Though without seeing your games or knowing your history I cannot really say.
