Hey Nelson, thanks again for putting this all together!

I had a question about the stonewall, how do you approach:

      1. D4 d5, 2. E3 Nf6 3. Bd3 Bg4, 4. f3 bh5

I feel stuck here bc i cant play my kings night where i want to, and am hesitant about playing g4 because it weakens king side without a quick pathway to then castle queenside

      • Poss block with knight instead of pawn ??

        • Thanks, that’s not a bad solution but then it seems like blocking that pawn in means you can’t play the stonewall opening bc getting two pawns to attack that e5 square is pretty important I think, idk

          • That’s true but maybe if they do this , could you play a Colle instead ? Nathan has done videos featuring this ! Again , just a thought .

        • If you really want to play stonewall you could continue with 5. c3 c6, 6. Qc2 Nc6 7. f4 …
Engine does not really like it but would get you into a reasonable stonewall I think.

Just play 3. f4 if they start with Nf6, and you can block with the knight next move if needed.

            • In that case I would probably just okay Ne2, 0-0, Nd2 and then you can continue with f4 and Nf3 if you’d like.
