This was daily chess so opening books are allowed by the fair play rules and we both had over 99% accuracy in the opening. I can only take credit for the middle game.
Move 14 when he pushed his pawn I really hesitated taking it. I figured it would give him an extra tempo on me by chasing me away with f4 and simultaneously opening up his bishop, adding an attacker on the d5 pawn. I did not really consider this a blunder on his part (although stockfish disagrees). On the other hand there where no good alternatives other than taking it. I wanted to keep the rook defending the d5 pawn so I considered all the 5th file positions rather than retreating back to the original square and saw the tactic that played out. Whole time while it was playing out I was sure I missed something and just blundered the rook getting it trapped.
Chess.com rated this game at a 2250! I obviously take that with a grain of salt since 50% of the moves where opening book moves. Still highest I have gotten.
Still not sure if I would have taken the rook exchange or the free knight if they did not resign.
