I think lesson 4.21 is really great. Because when I analyze my games, I always think to myself afterwards: Man, how can you be so blind and not see that? Especially when you see it while you’re watching.

I would really appreciate it and think it would be great if you could make a video from time to time with the exact question: Is there a tactic or not?

I would so much enjoy it. And I will definitely use that as a training method to see tactics in game.

      • Sometimes, that happens to me too. When you have Stockfish or any engine telling you to play a move, you are like “how did I not see that?” You may have already scanned the move and thought it was crazy, but didn’t see the follow-up. It is easier to justify a move once you see Stockfish backing it up and thinking it is good.

You could try training using some puzzles, and do more on the topic you struggle with. For example, if you keep missing ‘Checkmates in 2’, do more puzzles on that. However, don’t overdo puzzles; puzzles all have answers to win the game (or be in a winning position), but sometimes a position could just be a dead draw and no progress can be made. If you spend a lot of time stressing and forcing yourself to find a tactic where there aren’t any, you’ve just wasted time for nothing.

        Hope this helps!
