      HI all (and nelson with a question), maybe it is asked already, I havent read all posts. WIth regards to lesson 4.1 the first tactic you show around 2 minute mark, am I right to see a forced checkmate with bishop rather than sacraficising the bishop to recapture it eventually and winning a pawn. Here is my take on it. I am not familiar yet with chess language so I hope i am making sence:

      White: Knight from f3 to e5

      Black: taking the queen on D1

      White: checkmate with bishop to f7 (the knight on e5 defends the bishop and blocks the escape square for the king)

      Did I see this right??

      • You are correct IF black takes the queen. But instead of that they can play Be6 and block the checkmate. However, that is still a great position for white and is another acceptable line. Hope that makes sense!

        • Ah yes i see! That leaves your tactic better indeed. Only lower rated might go for the Queen I suspect
