Hello, I have a question about chess.com I’m wondering if anyone can please help. In settings I can change the rating limts for incoming and outgoing challenges, mine are all set to ANY which must be the default setting. My question is, with my rating being low should I set it to something other then ANY and if so to what? it’s confusing to me the + and – numbers. Hopefully this makes some sense.

Hi Paul, for what it’s worth I set mine at plus and minus 100 and get a good mix in and around my level, so as I hopefully improve so will my opponents.

Paul, the + and – just refers to how much higher or lower rated your opponents could be. So if you only want players at a very similar rating to yours you would keep those values as small as possible.
