Just an update.

I have reached the 1200+ rating on Rapid in chess.com again. I’ve been here a few times in the past. I teeter just shy of 1300 and then eventually, I sink back down to 900, then I make it back to 1000, then 1100.

I wish I could consistently stay at 1200. I am coolguydork at chess.com.

1. How do you determine the best move in a given position? There are many possible moves in any position, but only one or two are the best. What is the thought process that lead to them?

1. In chess.com, many of my games are often rated 2000, 1900, 1800 in the Game Reviews. And yet, my Rapid rating is still ~1100. Of the games I win, they’re often rated this way. What am I missing?
