My recipe was doing puzzles daily &#8211; got my peak rating up to 2500, and forcing myself to stop studying and play more. </p>

Highly recommend adding &#8216;poop time puzzles&#8217; to your training regiment for anyone out there who can&#8217;t always commit the time they&#8217;d like to! XP   </p>

									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Stonewall has been leading to a lot of drawish games for me so I switched up the opening yesterday and decided to just try to use the principles I&#8217;ve learned. 									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Really satisfying Queen trap in the middle of the board on move 11 in the Owens. Stockfish being rude and marks as an inaccuracy &#8211; I used a rook to trap the queen and it liked using the knight to do it while developing (rolls eyes).</p>

First and foremost is restraint &#8211; when I see a good move, I have an urge to play it before taking the time refute it and look at other candidate moves or resources my opponent may have. I think good players see the correct move almost instantly but spend time refuting&hellip;</p>
