I’m trying to get a feel on how best to divide my learning time to best achieve my goal of breaking 1500 (+321 since the end of June).

I tend to spend a fair amount of time watching the lessons here and trying to absorb info from the YT Channel. I find I can control this much easier and start and stop as needed given the inevitable…

I would like to see some thoughts/discussion on how long to stay “on script” with openings when the opponent doesn’t seem to be cooperating (how dare they)? Outright blunders seem easy enough, but other times it’s not as straightforward on when to stick with the opening line vs. react to threats or other “off script” responses.
