Yes thats annoying. I like to get Q-e1 then N-e5 and maybe pawn storm queen side as a feint. Usually dont like opening my king when opponents pieces are in that area. I noticed your eval bar dropped when you did N-e5 instead of continuing your attack on the bishop.

I think you handled it well in the opening and got into a fine position. The only change I would make would be to play c3 instead of a3 since they both stop Nb4 but with c3 you get added support on d4 and it let’s out your queen.

Crazy game. I shouldn’t have taken the knight on move 20 but i don’t know why 🙁

You shouldn’t have taken that knight because black could have forced a checkmate in three. Fortunately they didn’t see it! Nice job getting your king out of danger after than, although wandering around in enemy territory with your king must have been nerve wracking!
On move 35 I was actually yelling at my computer screen “FORK THE ROOKS,…

Yeah, I missed a fork a move 35. Thank you to show it to me. I should have lost this game if my opponent was better. I am lucky 🙂

I like how fearless you were pushing the kingside pawns to attack, I need to try that more often. The biggest missed opportunity was probably that turn 27 when you should have en passanted to trap their bishop. The other thing to look at was when your opponent spent 5 knight moves in a row just to trade with your bad bishop, that’s when you… Read more

Hello everyone,
I play black and my opponent start by moving four pawns. I went crazy and move my pawns too like a maniac.
https://www.chess.com/game/live/122589250723
The two ideas of the Owen’s defense were remove from me :
1) pining the night
2) attacking the e pawn
So i wasn’t sure what to do.

I think when you played c5 and d5 that was a great start. Then you just need to develop and castle quickly. So Nc6, Be7,Nf6 0-0. I wouldn’t have played f5 since that creates a lot of weaknesses. Hope that helps!

I think you handled it pretty well except on moves 18 and 19. I would have pushed the c pawn to defend against the light squared bishop. You were still holding on until you got greedy for pawns on moves 25 and 26. Your opponent had a forced smothered mate in 5 and missed it! Instead of going after pawns, you probably should have checked his…

Looks like you handled the opening pretty well, although around move 10 I would have looked for opportunities to play Re1 to take advantage of his king still being in the center. For example, instead of dxe5, I think Re1 would have been a great move and then recapture with the rook.

Thank you for you answer ! That’s very nice. I am a beginner, i thought i played this one badly. Thank you for you help.
