This course is already helping me see things so much better. Thank you, Nelson.
Prior to today, the best bot i had ever besten was the 1800 bot. I just used the Stonewall to take down the 1865 Augustus bot in an 82-move marathon and yesterday i pulled a draw against the 2000 bot.
Very happy with how the course helps me SEE things.

The tactic that won it for me eventually was a ladder check of the king to move it into position to skewer the queen…right from the skewer lesson

Question on position in Stonewall
Still loving the Stonewall, but I hit a decently sharp line today where opponent jumped Ne4 pretty early then Bh4 2 moves later. I didnt want to have him play Bf2+, which would result in my trading my rook for his bishop and knight.
I know that’s a good trade, but i also know the rook is a great attacker in the…

I came to this course as a primarily London player as white, so the Stonewall has a lot of familiar elements. Did a few test games vs the 1415 and 1350 bots and, though they didnt allow for the ideal line from the course video (both opened Nf6), the resulting positions were easy to play and i was pleased.
Great suggestion on the opening…

Actually got the Chess.com free daily Game Review on it this morning…only a 90.1…which is still awesome for me but not “best ever”. Funny how inflated all things Lichess seem to be (player rating, game accuracies, etc) because I really like their site structure a lot.

Very happy to have signed up; love your videos on YouTube. I’m 48 years old and seem stuck around my current ratings (bullet 1000 on 2,375 games, blitz 1100 on 3,091 games, rapid almost 1400 but thats only on 38 games, so may be inflated). I’ve never taken a true course though, and I just feel like there are gaps in my knowledge that others…
