At 72, my pattern recognition is a bit slower these days but I&#8217;m trying.  Great course thus far and I plan to repeat it more than one time.</p>

<p>Learning to pace (manage time) in Rapid games such as 10 minutes requires a certain strategy.  I find that whoever is running low on remaining time usually loses.  How can one avoid this pitfall?</p>

I&#8217;ve been on lichess for a week now and am at elo of 1400.  I never played chess where I was rated and discovered to my surprise that I was that high.
