I’m about 850 Blitz (1200 Rapid), and in the past 10 games I’ve played, two people have clearly not known that en passant is a rule.. very obvious situations where they thought about what to do and played some very inferior move instead.. kind of blows my mind that you wouldn’t first learn all the rules, especially at a reasonable level (not like they’re complete beginners).. anyone else seeing this?

      • I see it from time to time (and I forget about en passant myself occasionally). It is a good thing that when a pawn is taken en passant Chess.com pops up a little bubble that says en passant is a legal move with a link to the tutorial. Just think of it as doing a good deed by teaching other players about the rules of chess. 😂😜🤷‍♂️
