      • The entry screen changed because Nelson is migrating his earlier courses to this site, but Breaking 1500 is still there.

        • Hello Charles!

Here are instructions to login to the course:

          1. Open a browser like Google Chrome or Safari on your computer and then go to the following link: https://chessvibes.net/login. (I recommend saving this URL to your browser so that you can access it easily when you go back to the course)

          2. Input your email and password, then…

          • While I recommend viewing everything in the course, to start improving more quickly identify the items that you feel are weakest. Avoiding blunders (6) is great for everyone. If you don’t have a set of openings you feel confident with, opening fundamentals (2) followed by perfect openings (3) would be a great place to start.

            • I would say it depends on where you are at now. If you are less than 1000 ELO then I would do (1) Setting yourself up for Success (2) Opening Fundamentals (3) Openings for White & Black & then (6) Avoiding Blunders. If you are already 1000 elo, you probably already know items (1) & (2) and there are better openings for beginners than the…

              • I liked the additional considerations of the two openings. Also the blunder check lesson.

                • I second everything thing John, Nate, and (the other) Keith said. The module on blunders is one of the most important in my opinion. There is some very important material in Module 4 (Tactics), but it is a looong slog… I still have two lessons to go in the module and I want to rewatch a bunch of them.

                • I am trying all this and I can’t view the moves let alone copy to paste. It just copies the link and I can’t even open that to see. What’s wrong?

                  • After clicking download link, does that download the pgn file? If yes, then you could upload that file into a lichess study?

                    • I think the original file is a .zip file you need to unzip and upload the .pgn file

                    • Anyone know how to view the pgn?

                    • Hey Nelson. Why, Do you know why I can’t open the PGN files you included? I have chess.com app Am I doing something wrong?
