Hey – If we are all introducing ourselves my name is Justin. I use to play chess in HS back between the years 1996-2000. I never was that great. I played board 1 JV or board 5 varsity depending on who showed up for a given tournament. I did get all my varsity stuff for my letterman jacket since I played varsity in state one year. This was the year before the school changed the award colors for athletics vs academic awards so it make me look like a jock.

Ive played on and off since then with many multi-year gaps between time. I feel like I am on the precipice of a big rating jump. My daily chess is in the mid 1300’s and climbing. I can beat the 1400 level computer personalities chess.com provides (about half the time) yet my Rapid rating against real players is stuck around 800.
