Is there a way to use Chess.com or another site to play out games from books and possibly use analysis engines? Where can I find out about this?

You can go to chess.com/analysis and then enter the moves manually as you go through the game and turn on the engine if you like.

On additional note – chess.com analysis board also supports libraries. There are several libraries available, for instance with games analyzed by the book “Logical Chess – Move By Move” by Irving Chernev.
