Very disappointed, even though I’m still going to go through the coarse I feel like I got scammed. Watching Nelson on youtube I was feeling here a standup guy. Nothing I watched said you’re cutting out live communication. As a 69 year old man I feel betrayed.

Go through the course materials. Post on here (other than taking shots at Nelson) and you’ll likely get some activity. It was originally opened with limited availability. I believe he did that twice and now it is open to everyone. It is less active in here now just because most of the people have already gone through all of the material and aren’t logging in here as much. I grabbed a few people from the first run and we play some games on Chess.com . The first two waves got group coaching calls as part of the deal, but even then most people watched them as videos and not live. I am pretty sure that he mentioned no more group coaching calls when he opened it up to everyone. Feel free to add me on Chess.com or lichess.org if you want to play some games.

Nate, I posted on here because there no way to post directly to Nelson. I have not seen anything in all the utube videos of his that states there will be no more live activity. I have also tried to contact his support and as of now still haven’t received a response.

@r-g-peckhotmail-com first off, you can do this! Don’t quit! Just ignore the rating numbers and drill down during your reviews. I expect Nelson is probably busy most of the time working to keep his channel alive and going. His wife is a saint letting him play chess all the time. These modules are only for getting your feet wet and not for making you hit 1500 without playing thousands of games and studying hundreds of hours. They’re also not the only way to learn what he’s teaching. I started studying 30 years ago with 1001 traps etc by Reinfeld and recently got logical chess book. Back then everyone in the chess club studied and played and reviewed their games manually. Now we dont have to write the moves anymore with chess.com. Keep going!!! You got this 👍🏼

@r-g-peckhotmail-com also you can save your own games to library on the chess website. I have several folders. One with weird openings by opponent, one with best games (not just a win but a COMPETENT win with high accuracy and no misses/blunders) and a few other folders. 👍🏽

Thanks for responding, I wasn’t really thinking I couldn’t do this. I was just expecting some quality time with a chess pro.
