I think it’s just people trying to be funny. In OTB tournaments or at higher levels I believe it’s considered disrespectful. At our level I don’t actually mind, as you can just ignore this.
I’m more frustrated with people who prefer to stall games instead of resigning in losing positions. Happens a lot.

Thank you ! I’m sure you’re right . It’s part of a 3 day/move team game – let’s see if they decide to lose on time 🤣 – I’ll let you know !

@khainsonsashagmail-com thought more about the draw offer being funny – I suppose the intonation of the voice OTB could certainly be amusing !! Doesn’t quite carry over to online stuff quite the same 🤣

IMO they figure they are lost anyway so if it’s a 1% chance that you will just click the check-mark without thinking then it’s worth a shot.
