Need some advice if anyone has any sort of answer . I play against people (as opposed bots) on Lichess , Chess Royale & Chess.com . On Lichess & Chess Royale my mind is relatively clear yet on Chess.com I get a sort of brain freeze & no idea why ? Any ideas anyone ?

I’d guess that you value your rating on chess.com more than the others. I get an adrenaline rush when playing and have a winning position and also worry that I’m about to mess it up – thats when a bit of brain freeze can come in for me. Nelson touches on it in the Tilt section – have the mind set of win or lose we still gain something from it and progress to our goals.

Just posted a comment on your recent post – think your idea of a ” structured ” approach is what I need ! – must have missed Nelson’s idea , so thanks for repeating it even if you feel you can’t take all the credit 🤣

It worked – just concentrating on not blundering somehow took away brain freeze 😵💫 – managed to win to boot !!!

Thats fantastic! I’m delighted it’s working for you also.

Just done the game review on that game & played to 91% accuracy over 28 moves & no I’m not having rice for tea 🤣

outstanding accuracy! i occasionally can reach those heady accuracy peaks but only 13 or so max moves….i dip quickly back to mid 70s or high 60s by the time i get to 20 moves….so great job mate!

Thank you Johnathan for your kind comment – these reply links confuse me 😵💫 ! It doesn’t happen to me very often at all , pleased with early to mid 80’s !! Just happens occasionally ! Also , it was only 24 moves , somehow misread it ! Shock most likely 😂 ! My opponent resigned on my move ! Thanks again .
