I would try 30 minute games or 15 | 10 so you can slow down more. When you’re learning new concepts it’s always better to play slower rather than faster.

If that pawn was on h6 instead, then since white’s g6 pawn blocks their pieces kingside would probably be okay. The only change I would make would be to play c3 instead of a3 since they both stop Nb4 but with c3 you get added support on d4 and it let’s out your queen.
