I enjoy learning what I can from Nelson. I found the use of the Stonewall and the Owens defense impossible for me to use. I find it frustrating that an 8 year old can learn this game in a year and me being 70 can’t. I would like someone to tell me about the tools on Chess.com and how to use them. For example, there is a column titled Players and with each move there is a number that pops up. How can I use those numbers?

Joe, there is a wonderful series of YouTube videos (20 videos in all, each around 1 hour) that really go into a nice repetition on Stonewall (it’s a Speed Run rating climb using ONLY Stonewall as both white and black) and goes over when (AND WHY) to play certain moves in a way that locked it in for me.
I’m about 50, so you are a bit older than me, but my memory needs a little repetition to get things locked in.
