Your issues aren’t with the Stonewall opening, it’s with blunder checking each piece, counting attackers vs defenders, and thinking of the opponent’s most likely move after what you’re considering playing. That queen tactic is common, so you could’ve noticed it would’ve taken the pawn with check, and figured out what to do next. You can’t block with the bishop for two reasons.. you’re hanging your pawn and bishop. So you could trade the light colored bishops first, then take the one that you did and block with the knight.

I’m used to only playing one move per day so the

            Time was very difficult

Tyler, 10 minutes is longer than you think it is. If the game ends and you have over 8 minutes, that means you were playing too fast! You need to slow way down and look carefully before you move. Not sure if you’ve made it to Module 6 yet, but when you do, that will be very important. Slow down and do the steps to avoid blunders. If you didn’t lose the rook on a1 you were going to win that game easily. Also at the 800-900 level people make LOTS of mistakes, so don’t resign so early and see if they blunder something back to you later in the game.

Ok, ya probably have too many games going on got to reduce and focus on one game at a time too many games going on in my head 🤯 I’ll get better. I probably should have tried that game when I was fresh and not right before bed after a whole day of moves and studying. Lots of bad decisions. I was so focused on getting the opening right I wasn’t watching my opponents moves honestly lol embarrassing.
