1. Trading the rook for the queen is net four points of material, grabbing a free knight is net three points materials – so even if you succeed in pulling off the attack, you’re only marginally better off.

2. But you’re two moves away – if you move the rook, black has time to move the queen away from harm.

I purchased this course on Friday and by Saturday I was 1500. (Ok, I was already 1468 on Friday). I do credit a lot of the YouTube videos (especially Logical Chess move by move) for helping me learn; can’t wait to dive into the more complicated modules.
