<p>1.  Trading the rook for the queen is net four points of material, grabbing a free knight is net three points materials &#8211; so even if you succeed in pulling off the attack, you&#8217;re only marginally better off.  </p>
<p></p>
<p>2.  But you&#8217;re two moves away &#8211; if you move the rook, black has time to move the queen away from harm.  </p>

<p>I purchased this course on Friday and by Saturday I was 1500.  (Ok, I was already 1468 on Friday).  I do credit a lot of the YouTube videos (especially Logical Chess move by move) for helping me learn; can&#8217;t wait to dive into the more complicated modules.</p>
