After rock D8, if king goes to h2, what would happen then? Usually when I think I found mistake I am always missing something, so, what am I missing here?

The issue with Kh2 is white would leave the rook on a1 undefended so after like Rxf6, Qxg4 black could just take the rook on a1 I believe.

I think maybe I found why it does’t work

I thought this got white out of trouble, but next move white would go Qd1 threatening mate in 1 move, and I can’t see how black would stop it.
