I hit 1503 today in this game as black. I really like the Owens defense. It’s my base opening now for black. It sets up some great tactical opportunities with that bishop. Also, my new favorite strategy is to capitalize on the tempos you get from chasing away a bishop pinning your knight, in order to launch a pwn storm on the king

Hi Vincent, I just reviewed your game. Very instructive for playing Owen’s defense. I really wanted you to set up the battery with the queen and the bishop on the castles king pawn!! Still, your pawn storm worked out well. That was a tense exchange when you had all the big pieces facing off with white’s king and queen. That’s the type of situation that I mess up a lot, because it’s hard for me to see the order of moves to win the position. You made many great moves. Please keep sharing your games with Owen’s and Stonewall. I’ll be tuning in!
Best,
Seann

Yeah, under the right circumstances it would have been a good threat but his knight was guarding that pawn, which was the main problem I had to solve. I was able to get around it because he made a mistake in moving in which set up my knight sacrifice to break it open
