@ChessVibes I do recall you saying in the course that if you know the opening, no need to checklist. Often when it happens, I feel like I’m still in my opening book, as I get into a rhythm and that’s what causes me to forget and blunder. I guess (???) I’m still figuring out what works for me.

I had a look at my opening repertoire yesterday and began to notice moves that could be improved. I consulted the engine, Lichess Master database and Player database to confirm my suspicions that I was playing a suboptimal line.

Hi Nelson,

Thoroughly enjoyed the course. I had been on a win streak that started right before I started the course but I have been able to use some of what I learned in my games and I’m doing tactics with more intention.

In lesson 2.5 you talked about backward pawns. I wasn’t sure I understood why you didn’t also consider the pawn on f7 and h6…
