Dear Nelson
I do hope you feel better soon and a speedy recovery..
Well done last night (it was 1:00am here in Merry England 🇬🇧)
I Love ❤ Owen’s Defence, but,I can’t get along with the Stonewall ie the issue of our Black Bishop Being Blocked , I have tried it in the past but lost too many rating points because of it…
However, using Owen’s Defence for White (Nimzo-Larsen) has got me some great results 👍

Keep up the good work

Same here…eventhough I manage to lift the rook or transfer my Queen to King side, I couldn’t finalize mating attack. So after several loss with stonewall, I’ve quit it; but Owens still works well. rgds (1250 Rapid Chess Rating)

I’ve found a lot of success with the stonewall. Mostly through pinning the g2 pawn with rook after the lift. I often get that dark bishop in to the action using the c1-d2-e1 slip that Nelson shows. Ultimately getting it to h4 prior to the rook lift either push their queen around or get a pesky night out of the way on f6. I will say, that sometimes I get ahead of myself in attacking the kings position and things can get congested up in that corner. I have found that sacrificing your light bishop or a night to open up a king side castle can make the rook lift paired with the queen a good finisher.
