Ok, I took several weeks off due to other life issues. I did continue to watch chess videos by Nelson and others but I wasn’t really up for the intensity of real games. His current ratings climb is a fantastic companion to this course but that’s not my question….
I started by playing course material against chess dot com bots to get comfortable with it again. They seem to have gone stupid in the last month. Like the 800’s have become blunderbots. Have they shifted things again in the bot department or more specifically how much? It’s like they doubled the blunder rate.
I did play one game against a human late tonight (15-10) and won it on blunders as is typical of my level. My account is linked here if anyone is interested but there wasn’t anything exceptional about the game. I don’t feel I regressed as I got some decent tactics in and so forth but that’s where I left off. So why are the bots now so much easier all of the sudden?
