As a tip for Lichess players who may be wondering whether they lost to a cheater. Look closely at your opponents’ ratings right at the start of the game. I’m a beginner in the upper range (1410).

Welcome everybody
I’m slowly becoming friends with the Stonewall for white. Since I only play KID/Pirc for black, it was interesting to play against a KID player. It wasn’t that easy, but since I know KID’s ideas well, I came out on top.

Never give up. Most of us low-rated chess players blunder. Most of us, really. The only game I gave up, I saw in the analysis that I would have delivered checkmate 2 moves later. I don’t give up anymore. I try to save myself in the endgame. It’s amazing how many players blunder in the endgame.

I’m having similar experiences with the Stonewall. Since I’ve been playing it, everyone seems to know what to do about it. Either e5, or a white-squared bishop g4, h5, g6 to disrupt it. I’ve never played an opponent who blocks both bishops with his pawns. Check this out.
