Good thing about it is you&#8217;re usually ahead enough in development that you can snipe that e5 pawn eventually, and a lot of times it opens the d file up for attacking, especially because bad players tend to send their queen out too early.</p>

I&#8217;ve never resigned a game because I didn&#8217;t like the opening move(s), but I have erroneously assigned my opponent the &#8220;not good&#8221; tag in my head seeing an opening move that wasn&#8217;t c5/d5&#8230;and I was quickly disabused of that notion as the game progressed.</p>
