Yes, the stonewall can work for black too. You usually start by pushing the king pawn to E6, followed by D5 and F5. You’re hoping that white takes either D5 or F5, without pushing their king pawn into E5. It’s not a guaranteed opening but it’s got some interesting mechanics that can be very good. Neat to see you using the Owen’s defense successfully here. When you moved your Knight, I really wanted you to bring your queen to G5 (engine recommended move) to check his king. I think you would have won a bishop there. Regardless, you played a great game. Congrats:)

Benjamin, good point! Now that you mention it, I do recall thinking the examples were made up of other tactics and then the Zwischenzug was an extra, nearly invisible, step. I would get discouraged because I almost couldn’t distinguish the Zwisch from any other tactic. All the moves stared to blur together and almost just seemed like a big combo…
