I’ve found a lot of success with the stonewall. Mostly through pinning the g2 pawn with rook after the lift. I often get that dark bishop in to the action using the c1-d2-e1 slip that Nelson shows. Ultimately getting it to h4 prior to the rook lift either push their queen around or get a pesky night out of the way on f6. I will say,…

Right after the coaching session I played this game and was shocked out how many traps/tactics I managed to avoid against this player. Feeling pretty good about catching some of those.

I second this. I’d like to see some ways to pivot when your opponent doesn’t play in to what you are prepared for. You had a great YouTube video a couple of weeks ago where you played the stonewall/owen’s def. for a few games in a row and I found it very helpful.

Basically, how to pivot or adapt when things are going the way you want them to.
