Much less confrontational than e4 and less tactics to consider in the opening. Queens gambit is super solid at any level. If you feel that tactics are an issue I would suggest trying it out.</p>

Knowing that I was gonna lose now, all the stress melted away and I just tried to play actively and look for tactics. My opponent must have assumed I was gonna resign cause they played very passively and started making mistakes. I ended up trapping their queen in&hellip;</p>

I have been doing 10 min rapid cause it is so convenient. Almost enough time to think and short enough I can usually fit in a game most days. I took Nelson&#8217;s advice and tried a longer game &#8211; 15/10 and found the same thing you did.&hellip;</p>
