I’ve discovered “unrated” games. I didn’t know it was possible to play real opponents w/o the little bit of stress of the rating effect. I should be better off playing a rated game when I have time to play, rather than “practicing” with unrated games. How does the group feel about this?

I’m a big fan of daily game and it actually helped me a lot. I’ve had few experiences similar to yours but overwhelmingly has been positive – I’d say give it a few more tries. It is highly likely you’d love it.

I don’t think I’ll ever make 1500. My rating may not improve much at all. But I know I’ll get many hours of enjoyment out of this course. I appreciate the content Nelson so keep it coming.
