It covers the basic ideas around the middle game (other than tactics). <p> In the first one you had a good set up until the queen move to g3. The blunder is because of your Rook getting trapped but thats a hard tactic to see and your opponent missed&hellip;</p>

I think its not liking the move as it may be too slow in this position. b4 takes space and starts a pawn charge with your pawn majority on the Queens side which can create real problems for black before they get all their pieces out.&hellip;</p>

Played the Owens defence &#8211; they immediately player the pushed D pawn blocking my white bishop but I&#8217;d looked at that and played the Nf6. I then forgot to do the basic look for checks and missed 2 really easy Forks in the game &#8211; got a nice in between move in to win a piece and reached&hellip;</p>

I wasted hours/months drilling lines on Chessable that no-one ever played and I was usually out of prep after 3 or 4 moves as people at our&hellip;</p>

I get an adrenaline rush when playing and have a winning position and also worry that I&#8217;m about to mess it up &#8211; thats when a bit of brain freeze can come in for me. Nelson touches on it in the Tilt section &#8211; have the mind set of win or lose we still gain something from it&hellip;</p>
