How frustrating is this game!!! I warmed up with some puzzles. Played the Owens defence – they immediately player the pushed D pawn blocking my white bishop but I’d looked at that and played the Nf6. I then forgot to do the basic look for checks and missed 2 really easy Forks in the game – got a nice in between move in to win a piece and reached…

The course is paying off! Just started a plan to play 10 games mainly focusing on the avoiding blunders but with a quick look for tactics and weak squares. I’m up 100 rating points and got my accuracy up to 88% in this game. I took exchanges that gave me a pawn at the end on a few occasions then traded to the end game where those pawns where…
