No right or wrong answer but I’d recommend 50/50 as a good guideline. Half the time you work through the course -half the time you play and practice what you’ve been learning.

For me, after I got through the openings chapter, I stated watching one video a day and then playing games after that, while consciously trying to apply the principles explained. For example I used to play London/Pirc’s but just to adjust to the course and learn through I’m playing these new openings (and having fun with Owen’s to be honest).…

Did you try increasing the time duration of your games to give you more time to think?
