Progress report.
In rapid i’m only around 530, mostly due to blunders and the occasional mouse slip ( don’t need help with making bad moves mister computer , I’ve mastered them ). So working on blunder control.
However, there is a positive. Taking my time I am ( sometimes ) able to beat 700 and the occasional 1000 elo bots without blunders.
Which brings me to my next hurdle. While playing and checkmating a 700 bot using the stonewall i thought I was doing ok till i looked at the game review. Checkmate came at move 41 , however I overlooked a mate at move 18. Didn’t see that the Bishop which prevented my Queen from getting into the mate position was pinned.
Must slow down and take more time .

I wouldn’t feel too bad about not seeing a mate in that situation – that’s pretty hard tactic to find in-game for sure. But it was a great find to see that while analyzing afterward – I know that’s where a lot of my learning has come from, too.
