Thanks for the course Nelson – I’m learning lots! Regarding the Stonewall (lesson 3.2, at 8:30) – can’t black simply thwart a queen or rook attack on the H file with h6? (for e.g., once they see Qh4) I’m sure there’s a workaround for white, but I don’t see it.
Separately, I’ve never understood the utility of a diagonal battery with bishop in front of queen (say, white bishop on d3 and queen on c2, lining up on h7), versus queen in front of bishop (which is absolutely effective). I get how the bishop sac in lesson 3.2 to lure the knight onto h7 is dangerous for black, but in other circumstances (sans knight) it’s questionable, to me at least, especially when the black king simply sidesteps.

George, for the first question, the first thing that comes to mind would be playing g4 and then g5 as white to trade off the h6 pawn and keep the attack going.
Second question – the bishop queen batter with bishop in front is usually easier to do, so you don’t always have time to flip it around. Also, in some cases if black plays g6 to blunt your attack, sometimes you can sacrifice the bishop and then the queen jumps in to finish things off. This idea of sacrificing the bishop wouldn’t work if the queen was in front. Those are just some things that come to mind. Hope that helps!
